1. Who We Are
Red, White & True Gear is an online store operated by RWT Gear LLC. Our website is located at RedWhiteAndTrueGear.com. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when placing an order or contacting us:
- Order information — name, email address, shipping address, and items ordered. This data is stored in our own secure database in addition to being transmitted to Stripe and Printful for fulfillment.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we never store card details
- Newsletter subscriptions — our email signup uses a double opt-in process. When you submit your email, we store it in a pending state along with a one-time confirmation token. Your address is not added to our active mailing list until you click the confirmation link sent to your inbox. Unconfirmed signups are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- IP address and approximate location — when you submit any form on our site (including the email signup), we automatically record your IP address and derive your approximate city and country from it using a geolocation service. This data is used solely for fraud prevention and spam detection. It is stored internally and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, subject, and message
- Usage data — pages visited, browser type, IP address via server logs
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process and fulfill your orders through our print-on-demand partner, Printful
- To send order confirmation and shipping notification emails
- To send promotional emails about new products, sales, and special offers — only if you explicitly opt in via our newsletter signup form
- To respond to customer support inquiries
- To improve our website and detect abuse or fraud
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We use the Meta Pixel which transmits behavioral data (such as pages viewed and items added to cart) to Meta Platforms Inc. for advertising purposes. This is not a sale of personal information, but California residents may opt out of this data sharing at any time via facebook.com/ads/preferences or the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link provided in every email.
4. Third-Party Services
We share limited information with trusted third parties solely to operate our store:
- Stripe — payment processing. Your payment card information is handled directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. View Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Printful — order fulfillment. Your name and shipping address are transmitted to Printful to produce and ship your order. View Printful's privacy policy at printful.com/policies/privacy.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery for order confirmations and contact form responses.
- Strapi (self-hosted) — our internal content management system, hosted on a private server, used to store order records and newsletter subscriber data. This data is not shared with third parties and is accessible only to authorized store administrators.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Inc.) — we use the Meta Pixel to measure advertising effectiveness and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel collects behavioral data including pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart, and purchases made. View Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You may opt out of Meta's use of this data at facebook.com/ads/preferences.
- Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand how visitors use our site. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. All data is aggregated and anonymized. View Plausible's data policy at plausible.io/data-policy.
5. Cookies, Pixels, and Local Storage
- Shopping cart — we use browser local storage to maintain your cart session. Cart data (product selections, quantities, and variants) is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers until checkout.
- Meta Pixel — we use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and collects behavioral data for advertising purposes. See Section 4 for details and opt-out options.
- Plausible Analytics — our analytics provider does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information. It operates entirely without cookies.
- Stripe — our payment processor may set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention and security purposes.
You may disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect cart functionality and checkout. You may also use a privacy-focused browser or extension to block advertising pixels, including the Meta Pixel.
6. Data Retention
Order records are retained for a minimum of seven years to comply with tax and accounting obligations. Contact form submissions are retained for up to twelve months. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected], subject to our legal retention obligations.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
